1/ Alice, Dara and me

Alena Šeredová, Dara Rolincová and I liked Italy. Both of them found their Italians on the spot, and I brought my “Italian” from the Czech Republic. Although Pavel Nedved is also still a bit Czech, but like Alenka he has lived in Italy for a long time and everyone knows both of them there. Or at least almost everyone. Almost nobody knows me and my “Italian”, so the only thing we have in common is that we love Italy😊.

My blond Czech (whom I call Italiano) started liking Italy a few years before I did. In fact, he started studying Italian at language courses in the Czech Republic and Italy in response to my studying French, as he really gives up on French, because it’s impossible to learn it when they write and read it all differently, or rather hardly read it at all, reading only the first few letters of each word, and with pronunciation so complicated that it seems like they are doing everything to speak French only themselves. Well, he’s a bit right…Learning Italian was very purposeful of my dear, he understood that I love Cote d’Azur but we don’t have the money for it, so his idea from the beginning was to settle on the French-Italian border, so that I could have France within reach, but on the Italian side, where everything is cheaper and Italians are also much friendlier to foreigners. Plus, Liguria is actually a sort of extension of the Cote d’Azur and it can’t be that different, it’s still the “Riviera” in short!
