Or how I dreamed of living in France on the Côte d’Azur and learned French to do so, and eventually anchored a few kilometers away in a small Italian village overlooking the coast of the Italian Riviera, thus fulfilling my dream of living in a house by the sea.

On the pages of Pogginella (read“subginela“) I will tell you how it all happened, how I exchanged the French for Italians, rented a house in an ancient stone village and thus healed from the French trauma, got to know the locals and the holiday makers, made new friends and fell in love with Liguria, actually Italy including the Italians.

I’ll give you tips on interesting places and events in Liguria, but also on the adjacent Cote d’Azur, restaurants, beaches, bars, shopping for food, clothes and other necessities, recipes of local cuisine and share with you my experiences from Italian Liguria and from neighbouring France, which of course I haven’t completely rejected (no, I can’t 😊).

First of all, I want to entertain you and share with you some snippets of life on the Italian Riviera, and also to give courage to those of you who are still procrastinating about fulfilling a similar dream. Yes, it is definitely possible in Italy!
